Discover the SO-14 – the perfect double-track straight line Track Cover Supports
The SO-14 is specially designed to cover two parallel tracks over 60 cm of straight line in the Magnorail system (i.e., 2 x UE-1 for 60 cm of double track), with opposite traffic directions. This kit allows you to create clean, straight double lanes and easily cover your track with a flat, wide, and uniform surface.
A perfect template for HO gauge spacing
Reproducing the correct width of a two-way road in HO scale isn’t always easy. It depends on vehicle width and the type of road you want to model (country road, main road, etc.). The SO-14 stands out thanks to its central part, which precisely defines the spacing between two lanes according to HO scale standards (1:87). This ensures smooth two-way traffic for your vehicles — whether trucks, cars, or buses — and seamless integration into your miniature scenery.
The central pieces include openings on both sides, allowing the fixing screws from the tracks to embed properly into the cover without distortion and maintain perfect alignment.
Clean, quick and customised installation
Made of 8 mm thick MDF wood, this cover track support is perfectly positioned at the correct height of the Magnorail track. It provides a uniform surface for easy installation of road surfaces, pavements or any other covering, without complex adjustments or risk of deformation.
A kit designed for straight double lanes
The SO-14 includes:
✅ 6 large straight elements (16 cm each)
✅ 6 small straight elements (4 cm each)
✅ 3 large central pieces (16 cm each)
✅ 3 small central pieces (4 cm each)
The straight elements are 2.3 cm wide, while the central pieces are 2.6 cm wide. The spacing between the two tracks is precisely set at 3.5 cm, matching the standard HO gauge. Once assembled, the complete Track Cover Support reaches a total width of 9 cm.
Modular setup, compatible with other Track Cover Supports
The SO-14 can be integrated into various configurations.
Example 1: To create around 95 cm of two-way track, you can use:
- 1 Expert Set (BF-2, BS-2, or BV-2)
- 2 x SO-14
- 1 x SO-9 to surround the motor module
Example 2: To create around 180 cm of two-way track, you can use:
- 2 Expert Sets (BF-2, BS-2, or BV-2)
- 2 x SO-14 (for the straight sections)
- 3 x SO-12 (for the curves)
- 2 x SO-9 to surround the motor modules
