●The EF65 1000 series is a general-purpose DC electric locomotive designed for flat lines, with multiple-unit control and operation in cold climates considered from the outset. It can pull both passenger and freight trains, and saw extensive service on everything from local trains to Blue Trains, and from general freight to high-speed freight.
◆This locomotive was widely used from Kanto to Sanyo, and can be enjoyed in combination with various passenger and freight cars that were in service during the same period. It is also recommended to combine it with the 5281/5283/5284 Oha 14/Suhafu 14/Ohafu 15 JNR specifications, scheduled for simultaneous release, to recreate express trains of yesteryear.
①Models of locomotives 1023-1039 are produced based on specifications from when they were newly manufactured until around 1987.
②Reproduces the internally mounted taillights, front ventilation openings, and narrow steps below the gangway door.
③Reproduces the roof without fan covers and the low height of the running boards. The roof is blue, the signal flares are gray, and the whistle cover is blue.
④ The vertical bars and wipers on the front windows are silver, and the H-rubber in various places is gray.
⑤ The skirt reproduces the form with the KE59 jumper plug.
⑥ The body color, composed of Blue No. 15 and Cream No. 1, is beautifully reproduced.
⑦ The front handrails and uncoupling levers (black) are reproduced as separate parts. Both are pre-installed.
⑧ Headlights light up (using warm white LEDs).
⑨ Slotless motor enables smooth and quiet running.
⑩ Arnold couplers are standard equipment, and replacement knuckle couplers are included.
