ED75 0 Late Model (Slotless Motor)

● The ED75 0 series was developed in 1963 (Showa 38) when the Joban Line was electrified with AC power up to Taira Station (now Iwaki Station). It was an AC (50Hz) only electric locomotive that also served as a successor to the ED71 that operated on the Tohoku Main Line. 160 units were manufactured. It was used on the Tohoku Main Line (north of Kuroiso) and the Joban Line from Taira to Aomori, and was active in a variety of situations, from freight trains to regular passenger trains and even Blue Trains.

◆ This is the ideal locomotive for passenger and freight trains in the Tohoku region during the JNR (Japanese National Railways) era. It is also recommended to combine it with the simultaneously released 5281/5283/5284 Oha 14/Suhafu 14/Ohafu 15 JNR specifications to recreate express trains of yesteryear.

① This product models the vehicle manufactured in 1968 (Showa 43). Reproduces the form of the locomotive around 1978 (Showa 53) during its time at the Aomori and Morioka locomotive depots, when it also pulled Blue Trains.
② Reproduces the wide front steps, recessed taillights, front ventilation openings, and cut-out letter numbers.
③ The front window is represented with a defroster.
④ Reproduces the skirt, which has different equipment from the 1000 series.
⑤ Beautifully represents the body in the standard Red No. 2 color of JNR AC locomotives.
⑥ The front handrails are in the same Red No. 2 color as the body, the uncoupling levers are black, and the H-rubber on various parts is gray.
⑦ Slotless motor enables smooth and quiet running.
⑧ Arnold couplers are standard equipment, and replacement knuckle couplers are included.
⑨ Selectable manufacturer's plates: "Hitachi", "Toshiba", "Mitsubishi".
⑩ Selectable number plates: "136", "142", "147", "157".
⑪ Quick headmark compatible. "Yuzuru" and "Akebono" headmarks are included.
