Kato 3069-2 N scale EF57 (with slotless motor)


①EF57
- A reproduction of a locomotive belonging to Utsunomiya Locomotive Depot circa 1972.
- Features a forward-extending pantograph, a large deck, and the heavy leading bogies typical of older electric locomotives.
- Reproduces the black roof, a characteristic of locomotives from the Omiya Works.
- The pantograph base has no reinforcing ribs. The main frame is reproduced as a single unit down to the deck.
- The roof ventilators are reproduced in a 6-4 combination. The running board on the first end is a standard length.
- Selectable number plates: "EF57 2," "EF57 4," "EF57 8," and "EF57 14."
②EF57 1
- EF57 1, the most distinctive number among the EF57s. Recreates the distinctive exterior of the EF56 2nd generation.
- This model is equipped with an electric heating system, which was used in the early 1970s at the Utsunomiya Locomotive Depot and mainly served on the Tohoku Main Line.
- Reproduces the centered PS14 pantograph, rounded roof monitor, and recessed taillights.
- Accurately recreates the heavy main bogies unique to older electric locomotives. The outer frame leading bogie and delicate deck handrails, which are different from those of the EF56, are also accurately reproduced.
- Pre-installed license plate reads "EF57 1." The manufacturer's plate reads "Hitachi."
