Kato 3066-F N Scale EF81 95 Rainbow Painted Locomotive (with Slotless Motor)


●The EF81 was introduced in 1968 as a dual-purpose AC/DC locomotive capable of pulling both passenger and freight trains.

Locomotive No. 95 was repainted in 1987 to pull the "Super Express Rainbow" joy train, featuring a vibrant cherry red paint job and a large "EF81" logo on the side of the car.

Even after its retirement from the "Super Express Rainbow," the locomotive retained its rainbow livery and is currently used to pull the Cassiopeia Cruise group-only train.

◆A long-awaited addition to KATO's EF81 series. Locomotive No. 95, featuring a large "EF81" logo in different designs on both sides, will be released as a single item. It is ideal for pulling the E26 Series "Cassiopeia Cruise" (10-2112/2114) and "Cassiopeia" (10-2112/2114), scheduled for simultaneous release.

Key Features
1. This product is based on EF81 No. 95, manufactured around 2016, when regular Cassiopeia service ended.
2. The "EF81" logo, with different fonts and angles on the sea and mountain sides, is reproduced.
3. The EF81 logo on the side windows is reproduced without paint.
4. The front wipers and side vertical bars are silver, and the H-rubbers are black.
5. The "JR East" nameplate below the cab window on the side of the first end and above the conversion markings is reproduced in print.
6. The remains of the removed Joban radio antenna on the roof are reproduced.
7. The slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet running.
8. The headlights are illuminated (using warm white LEDs).
9. Insertable license plate: "EF81" 95", Maker's Plate: "Hitachi", Quick Headmark: "Cassiopeia" x 2 included
