205 Series 3100 Subtype Senseki Line Mangattan Liner Type 4-Car Set

The Senseki Line is the only JR DC electrified line in the Tohoku region, connecting Aoba-dori to Ishinomaki via Sendai and Matsushima-kaigan.
Since 2002, former Tokyo metropolitan area trains have been in service, with intermediate cars of the 205 series converted into leading cars, creating 4-car formations.

In 2003, a train set featuring a special wrapping design was introduced, in honor of Shotaro Ishinomori, a manga artist from Miyagi Prefecture.

Mangattan Liner I features illustrations of Cyborg 009 and Robocon, a different wrapping design from Mangattan Liner II.

Despite a period of service suspension due to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the line sadly ceased operation on March 23, 2025.

This product was produced to commemorate the 2025 Railway Model Contest.

* Modeled after the M8 formation belonging to the Miyagino branch of the Sendai Vehicle Center.
* Accurately reproduces the sealed side windows at the end of the Kuha 205 car, the toilet tank under the floor, and the traces of the removed ventilators.
* Reproduces the roof of the Moha 205 with one pantograph installed.
* Represents the "door open switch" installed next to the door.
* Accurately reproduces the exterior finish using different materials, such as the painted steel body of the front and the stainless steel parts of the car body.
* Reproduces the grayed-out underfloor equipment and bogies.
* The intermediate couplings use bogie-mounted close-coupling couplers with jumper pipes. The front ends all use dummy couplers.
* Headlights/taillights and front destination display light up.
* Includes stickers with LED side destination displays.
