Kato 10-2181 N Scale 43 Series Night Express "Hakkoda" 7-Car Basic Set


① The Tohoku Main Line Night Express "Hakkoda." This set recreates the formation, primarily consisting of passenger cars, as it was in operation after the March 1975 timetable revision.
② The Wasafu 8000, the last car on the outbound train, is equipped with a taillight (with a switch) on the conductor's side.
③ The mail car, Oyu 10, is a non-air-conditioned car, recreating the 2512 belonging to the Aomori Depot. The taillights on the conductor's side are illuminated (with a switch to turn them off).
④ The SuHaFu 42 (cars 9 and 11), which are located at the end of the train toward Aomori, are equipped with taillights on the conductor's side as standard (with a switch to turn them off).
⑤ The ventilators on the SuLo 62 and NaHa 11, which were previously integrated into the roof in previous models, are now depicted as separate parts.
⑥ The roof paint is light gray for the 10 Series passenger cars (NaHa, SuLo, SuHane, OYU), while the SuHa 43 Series (SuHa, SuHaFu) are painted dark gray.
⑦ The side car number, type markings, and destination signs are pre-printed (Express "Hakkoda" bound for Aomori). Destination stickers (bound for Ueno and Sendai) are included.
⑧ Arnold couplers are standard on the ends of the train, and KATO N JP couplers are included in the middle. Replacement KATO knuckle couplers are included.
⑨ One locomotive can be stored in the bookcase included with the add-on set.
