Kato 10-2175 N scale 287 Series "Kuroshio" 60th Anniversary Commemorative Wrapping 6-Car Set Special Edition


●The 287 Series is a DC express train developed by JR West based on the 683 Series-4000, and is currently active as the "Kounotori" and "Kuroshio" trains. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the "Kuroshio" Limited Express service in 2025, a 60th anniversary wrap train began operating in July of the same year. This wrap is inspired by the 381 Series "Super Kuroshio" train, which has been in service since 1989, and is scheduled to run until February 2026.

◆This wrap train, which commemorates the 60th anniversary of the "Kuroshio" Limited Express service, is now available as a product. The red and yellow gradient side stripes on the leading cars at both ends of the train and the distinctive front decoration are accurately reproduced. Enjoy this set alongside other products, including the 10-1179S/1180 Series 287 "Kuroshio" and the upcoming 10-1667 Series Kiha 25-1500 (Kisei Main Line/Sangu Line).

Key Features
1. This set features the HC602 train from the Suita General Rolling Stock Center's Hineno Branch, decorated with 60th anniversary livery.
2. The livery on both leading cars is beautifully rendered.
3. The gradient red/yellow stripes on the sides and the red stripes around the head and taillights are faithfully reproduced, as well as the express markings, headmark, and dummy through-door rails/typhoon covers on the front.
4. The rounded front shape and distinctive head and taillights are reproduced.
5. The lightning arresters are of a more recent design.
6. The head and taillights light up. The KuMoHa 287-15 has a switch to turn them off. The headlights above the driver's cab light up in white.
7. The leading car uses a KATO close-coupled coupler (without hooks). Includes one stage of electrical coupler parts. The intermediate coupling uses a body-mounted close-coupled coupler (with hook).
⑧ A slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet running.
⑨ Destination display stickers are included ("Kyoto," "Shin-Osaka," "Wakayama," "Shirahama," "Shingu," and "Nara"). Side nickname displays include "Kuroshio" and "Mahoroba."
