The EMU3000 is the latest limited express train of the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA). Serving as TRA’s flagship train, it began operation at the end of 2021. By 2024, all 50 trainsets—each consisting of 12 cars, for a total of 600 cars—had been delivered and are now operating throughout Taiwan.

Developed under the concept of “TRA Aesthetic Renaissance (FUTURE—RENAISSANCE),” which began in 2019, the train was created with the slogan “Let’s build a limited express that we can proudly present to the world.” Its design features a modern, simple monotone base color accented by colored bands above the doors. To enhance transport capacity compared with older rolling stock, the train uses 20-meter cars in a 12-car formation, with Car No. 6 designated as the Business Class car (Téngyún Cabin), equivalent to Japan’s Green Car.

A new variation of the EMU3000 is now being introduced. Following the popular red-band and green-band versions already on sale, we are releasing the blue-band trainset. It is ideal not only for passing-train displays but also as a great addition to any collection.

.All coupling sections come standard with body-mounted KATO close-couplers (with hook).
.Includes newly designed destination display stickers corresponding to the actual train’s operating routes.
