Kato 10-2097 N Scale E4 Series Shinkansen "Max" 8-Car Set

●The E4 Series Shinkansen debuted in 1994 as the second all-double-decker Shinkansen after the E1 Series. It operated primarily in 8-car formations, but also in 16-car formations by coupling two E4 Series trains together. It operated in combination with other E4 Series trains, as well as with the E3 Series Yamagata Shinkansen "Tsubasa." With a capacity of 1634 passengers in the 16-car formation, it boasted the world's largest passenger capacity for a high-speed train. After the introduction of the E5 Series, its operation mainly shifted to the Joetsu Shinkansen, and in 2014, the band color was changed from yellow to pink.
