Kato 10-2005 N scale Odakyu Romancecar NSE (3100 Series) <Updated Car> 11-Car Set


●The NSE (3100 Series) was introduced in 1963 as part of an effort to increase tourist transportation capacity. While inheriting the low center of gravity and articulated structure of the previous SE (3000 Series) cars, the leading car featured a second-floor driver's seat and a front observation car, creating a more deluxe design. From 1977 to 1983, air conditioning units were added to improve cooling capacity. Following the introduction of the new LSE (7000 Series) in 1983, the car underwent body repairs, including the automatic retractable front nickname display and redesign (from a pentagonal to a rectangular shape), repositioning of some doors to accommodate the expansion of the cafe and shop area, and changing the outer hood to a urethane core.

A new addition to the lineup is the Odakyu Romancecar NSE (3100 series), a train popular with all generations. This model features an automatically retractable nickname display on the front and a rectangular design, as seen after renovation work.

⑤ Head/taillights, passing indicators, and front nickname display lights are illuminated (using white LEDs).

・Reproduces the 3221 x 11 train set, which served until the end and is still preserved to this day.
・Reproduces the lightning arrester installed between the pantograph and duct.
・Reproduces the wine-red seat moquettes on all cars.
・Pre-installed "Hakone" front nickname display. Replacement "Ashigara," "Sagami," "Enoshima," and "Super Hakone" are included.
