Kato 10-1920 N Scale JR Central Series 313-5000 “Shinkaisoku (New Rapid)” 3-Car Add-on Set

● The Series 313 EMUs entered service in 1999.
With specifications tailored to different lines and a wide variety of configurations, they have become the representative commuter and suburban rolling stock of JR Central. The 5000 and 5300 subseries are assigned to the Ōgaki Depot and operate extensively throughout the Chūkyō region.
The interiors feature fully reversible transverse seating, and the trains are equipped with inter-car dampers and (on the 5000 subseries) semi-active suspension systems, enhancing ride comfort at higher speeds.
The 5000 subseries is formed as a 6-car set, while the 5300 subseries consists of 2-car sets; they are sometimes combined into 8-car formations for operation on Shinkaisoku (New Rapid) services.
◆ The Series 313-5000/5300 Shinkaisoku trains, primarily operated in the Chūkyō region, have been updated to the latest specifications, including the removal of company ownership markings, and are now released as products.
They can be enjoyed together with other products such as 10-2071 Series 683 “Shirasagi” (New Livery) and 10-2070 Hoki 2000 (Yabashi Industry).

Represents Ōgaki Depot trainset Y114.
Faithfully reproduces the inter-car dampers unique to the 5000 subseries.
● 5300 Subseries
Represents Ōgaki Depot trainset Z2.
Recreates the 2-car formation built as an extension of the 5000 subseries. As on the real trains, no inter-car dampers are installed.
● No line or depot affiliation markings are printed on any car.
● Destination displays on the front and sides show “Shinkaisoku Ōgaki”.
Includes a replaceable front destination sign for “Toyohashi Shinkaisoku” (blank type).
● Body-mounted close-coupling couplers with hooks are used between intermediate cars, while the front uses hookless close-coupling couplers (includes two-stage electric couplers).
● Coreless motor provides smooth and quiet operation.
● Headlights, taillights, and front destination displays are illuminated, with an on/off switch.
● Includes a sticker to reproduce the anti-slip surface on the top of the cab front step.
● Includes a priority seating sticker sheet with auxiliary markings.
● The add-on set (3 cars) is packaged in a bookcase that can store up to 8 cars, allowing storage of the basic 3-car set and the 2-car 5300 subseries add-on set together.
