Kato 10-044 N Scale <SHINKANSEN-0> 4-car set

Since the Tokaido Shinkansen opened in 1964, the 0-series Shinkansen continued to expand with minor changes until 1986. New cars manufactured from 1981 onwards were the final version, the 2000 series, of which a total of 309 cars were manufactured. The 2000 series was based on the 1000 series, which featured smaller side passenger windows and increased seat pitch. After the transition to JR, all 2000 series cars were inherited by JR Central and JR West, and were retired in 2008.

◆KATO's long-selling 0-series Shinkansen is now available as a 4-car set that can be easily enjoyed by beginners and overseas users alike. Recommended for those just starting out with N gauge.

Key Features

① Recreates the distinctive "bulb-nosed" 0 Series trains that served the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines.

② Released as a 4-car set only, allowing beginners to easily enjoy the series (no add-on sets available).

③ Head and taillights illuminate (using warm white LEDs). Each light also features two lights, one on top and one on the bottom.

④ Wheels that mimic disc brakes are used on all cars.

⑤ Arnold couplers are standard equipment.

⑥ The hood lid, silver headlight rims, and car number are printed. Car numbers and non-smoking car symbols are not printed.
