● The popular model is now available with new features! The actual train runs through theEuropean Alps in southwestern Switzerland from Zermatt to St. Moritz over two railroad companies, the Rhaetian Railway and the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. On a slow 8-hour journey, it has become popular as a panoramic sightseeing train to enjoy the stunning views of the Alps from its windows. In 2019, the “Excellence Class,” an even higher level of first class, was introduced, bringing further changes to the traditional passenger cars.

◆ We have created a model that incorporates the luxurious new 'Excellence Class' passenger cars introduced in 2019. The conventional 1st and 2nd class coaches have also been upgraded with changes to their interior and new seat colors. The Ge4/4-III locomotive has also been replicated with its updated appearance.

◆ Product features:

① Ge4/4-III Locomotive
・The 3-car Basic Set and Starter Set include the 647 locomotive model. The design with the large Rhaetian Railway logo on the side has been replicated.
・ The standalone product is the 643 locomotive model. In addition to the car number and emblem on the side, the side logo (which has a different font from that of the 647 locomotive) has been  reproduced.
・Reflects the updated design, especially the features around the lights.
・The headlight, which has been upgraded to HID/LEDs and undergone a major design change, is reproduced (using white LEDs).
・Replication of the electric coupler, rearranged hoses (jumper plugs), and the emblem of the State of Graubünden at the front of the train. The emblem is reproduced in the form of a shield-shaped plate that comes attached.
・The brake hoses (short jumper plugs) located on the left and right near the front center are reproduced as separate parts.
・Details such as the air intake louvres on the roof, resistors, and large snow plow are also replicated.
・Slotless motor allows for smooth and silent operation.
・The 3-car Basic Set and Starter Set are equipped with Arnold couplers. The standalone Ge4/4-III 643 model uses short couplers. Replacement Arnold couplers are included.
・Minimum curve radius: R150
・DCC compatible by replacing the light circuit board with the <29-025 DN163K4a> (Hobby Center KATO product)
