● The definitive 223 Series, the 2000 Series, introduced in 1999, was designed to reduce manufacturing costs. This resulted in a wide variety of configurations, with variations depending on the manufacturer and production period. Since 2013, safety barriers have been installed between the front cars to prevent passengers from falling off the platform, adding a distinctive accent to the train formation. These trains are active on the JR Kobe Line, JR Kyoto Line, and Biwako Line (Special Rapid Service and Rapid Service).
Enjoy a variety of formation variations, including coupled operation with the 225 Series, just like the real thing.
① Reproduce the V42 (4-car set) and W33 (8-car set) trains from the Aboshi General Rolling Stock Depot in 2020.
② Accurately reproduce the front end and skirt shape of the car body.
③ Reproduce the different paint schemes on the front window frames. The wipers on the connecting door windows are also reproduced.
④ Details such as the step under the crew door and the toilet tank are reproduced.
⑤ The front fall prevention barrier is reproduced as a separate part.
⑥ The use of a slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet running. The 4-car set does not have traction tires, allowing for coupled operation.

① This starter set includes the 223-2000 series, a popular train used on express trains in the Keihanshin area, Unitrack track with PC (concrete) sleepers, and a black power pack.
Recommended for those just starting out with model railroading.
