Sleeper Express "Hokutosei" Oha 25 500 Lobby Car

● The 24 series sleeper express "Hokutosei" debuted in 1988 (Showa 63) to coincide with the opening of the Seikan Tunnel connecting Honshu and Hokkaido, operating between Ueno and Sapporo. It gained popularity for its hotel-like service, and at its peak, three round trips were operated. The passenger cars used for the "Hokutosei" included many types and various amenities. Among them, the Oha 25 500 series, belonging to JR East, consisted of four cars introduced between 1988 (Showa 63) and 1989 (Heisei 1). Featuring a shooting star design on the exterior, the interior included a lounge area, shower rooms, and vending machines, adding to the luxurious train's appeal.

◆ A wide range of HO scale 24 series sleeper express "Hokutosei" train formation variations are available.

By combining this with the newly produced Oha 25 500 series, you can enjoy the formation of Hokutosei No. 3 and 4 from the era when the Hokutosei ran two round trips a day (1999-2006).

① This product reproduces the JR East Oku Passenger Car Depot cars from the 1990s. It reproduces the unique window arrangement that differs from the original 24 series, and the blue body with gold stripes that is characteristic of the "Hokutosei" composed of private compartments.
② Oha 25 500 series
・This product reproduces Oha 25 503. It reproduces the shooting star mark painted on the side and the "Lounge Car" class indication.
・The air conditioner uses the AU77 modified version. It reproduces the texture of stainless steel. It also includes parts that can reproduce the telephone antenna at the end of the car.
③ The H-rubber of the destination display/class indication on the Oha 25 500 is expressed in gray. Other cars are represented in black.
④ The interior curtains visible through the side windows of each car are represented by separate parts (only the first floor is represented for Orohane 24 and Orohane 25).
⑤ All cars have car numbers, end markings, class markings, etc. printed on the body. The silver color of the door sills and door rails is reproduced.
⑥ Uses KATO coupler retractable close-coupling type.
⑦ DCC friendly.
