The decommissioning of the rotary steam snowplow used on the Gotthard Tunnel, along with the need to expand the snowplow fleet and have a reserve, led to the acquisition of two self-propelled diesel snowplows from the Beilhack company in Rosenheim, Germany, in 1980. This design, already delivered to Norway and Austria, has also proven its worth on the Gotthard Tunnel, with the two plows currently or formerly stationed in Göschenen and Erstfeld. A special feature of this design is that the entire vehicle platform can be rotated 180°, allowing the plow to change its direction of operation.

Note: The model has limited functionality in analog mode; therefore, we recommend digital operation. In analog mode, the snow blower starts moving, the headlights and driving sound are activated, and the paddle wheels also rotate.
