ENDO EI0121 HO Scale JR West 500 Series Shinkansen V Set (8-Car Set)

The 500 Series Shinkansen was introduced by West Japan Railway Company in 1997. Designed for commercial operation at speeds of up to 320 km/h, it remains one of the most iconic and beloved Shinkansen trains ever built. Its aircraft-inspired exterior styling and body design, developed using JR West's proprietary aerodynamic technology, continue to captivate railway enthusiasts today.
Unfortunately, the 500 Series was withdrawn from Nozomi services on the Tokaido Shinkansen in 2010. However, after being shortened and refurbished into 8-car V formations, the trains continue to operate on the Sanyo Shinkansen as Kodama services.
In 2024, it was officially announced that the 500 Series will be retired in 2027, marking the 30th anniversary of its entry into service.

About the Model
Following the success of the previous Doctor Yellow release, the Endo Plastic Shinkansen Series proudly presents the 500 Series Shinkansen!
This model represents the 8-car V formation, offering a manageable and layout-friendly configuration in 1/87 scale. It faithfully reproduces the modifications made during the conversion from the original 16-car sets, including:

.Single-arm pantographs
.Removal traces of the former pantograph mounting bases
.Revised seating arrangements and interior modifications

A must-have model for fans of the legendary 500 Series.
