Kato 10-1359 N Scale Seibu 5000 Series “Red Arrow” 6-Car Set

● Commonly known as the “Red Arrow,” it was active on the Chichibu and Okuchichibu Lines connecting Ikebukuro and Seibu Chichibu, as well as the Musashi Line connecting Ikebukuro and Hanno. Although it initially ran in a 4-car formation, from 1974 to 1976 the intermediate section was increased by 2 cars to form a 6-car formation.

● In 1993, it was succeeded by the 10000 Series limited express trains and retired in 1995, passing the baton to the new model. In 1970, it received the Blue Ribbon Award from the Japan Railfan Club.

◆ Re-create Seibu line scenes by combining it with the <10-1358 Seibu 101 Series New Paint Scheme> and <10-431 Seibu E3851 Cement Train> scheduled for release at the same time!

Features

① Replicates the reconfigured 6-car formation equipped with electrically-lit destination signs that were produced to adhere to the new specifications from around 1978.

② The distinctive front design has been accurately recreated, including the stainless steel stripes, company crest, and other notable features.

③ The head/tail-lights and passing signal light are lit (off-switch included).

④ The lead coupling part is equipped with KATO tight-lock couplers (with hooks). The intermediate couplings use KATO body-mounted tight lock couplers (with jumper plug).

⑤ The destination sign is pre-set to 'Chichibu' (ちちぶ), with interchangeable signs for 'Okuchichibu' (おくちちぶ) and 'Musashi' (むさし). The train number and car numbers are already printed.

⑥ Includes the early model destination signs with interchangeable non-illuminated signs, allowing you to recreate the 'Chichibu' (ちちぶ), 'Okuchichibu' (おくちちぶ), and 'Musashi' (むさし) signs.

⑦ Imitates the waste disposal equipment located near the toilet on the bogie behind the lead car.
