As the name suggests, this was the car about town, again from the 1960s era of American motoring. Newly tooled in 1:87 scale, the first release is a replica of the four-door full size luxury saloon. The Cadillac had been restyled and re-engineered for 1961. Refinements over its predecessors included a new grille, dual headlamps, new forward slanting front pillars with non-wraparound windscreen and revised rear light configurations. DeVille models featured a lower body trim with a thin, three-quarter-length spear moulding running from behind the front wheel opening to the rear of the car. Standard equipment included power brakes, power steering, automatic transmission, dual backup lights, windshield washer, dual speed wipers, wheel discs, plain fender skirts, outside rear view mirror, vanity mirror, oil filter, power windows and 2-way power seats. Amongst these many standard 'extras', rubberised front and rear coil springs now replaced the trouble prone air suspension system.
