ED75 electric locomotive, introduced in 1963 as the standard AC electric locomotive for JNR (Japanese National Railways), features a D-type design but boasts pulling power comparable to F-type DC locomotives.
It served widely across AC-electrified lines, handling everything from blue trains and regular passenger trains to freight trains. Among the series, the 1000 series was particularly noted for high-speed operations on the Tohoku and Joban lines, where 39 units were mass-produced to pull high-speed 20-series sleeper cars and 10000-series container freight trains. 
This locomotive, vital for both sleeper express trains and freight during the JNR era, is indispensable for recreating the nostalgia of the Tohoku and Joban lines. Recommended as a traction vehicle for your passenger and freight cars.

  • Represents the early model numbers 1001–1014 from the 1000 series, specifically from the 1970s Aomori depot
