(HO) H5 Series Hokkaido Shinkansen "Hayabusa" 4-Car Basic Set

● The H5 series debuted in 2016 as JR Hokkaido's first Shinkansen. Based on JR East's E5 series, it features some modifications to the interior and exterior. While the basic appearance and paint scheme are similar to the E5 series, it features a lavender-colored stripe called "Saika Purple," and a symbol mark depicting Hokkaido and the white falcon is adorning the sides of five cars in the train. Like the E5 series, it operates on the "Hayabusa" service between Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto.


◆ The Hokkaido Shinkansen opened on March 26, 2016. The H5 series, which debuted with the initial opening of the Shin-Aomori to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto section, is now available in HO gauge for the first time. The basic set is a convenient 4-car set. By combining it with the 2-car and 4-car add-on sets, you can flexibly expand from short to full train formations.


① H1 formation of the H5 series is now available as a product.
② The distinctive lavender stripe and symbol mark of the H5 series are realistically and accurately reproduced. The outer gangway of the coupling section that wraps around to the top is represented in black.
③ Reproduces the form before the windows were closed off due to the installation of luggage racks. Stickers are included to reproduce the closed windows of cars 1 to 8 as desired.
④ The symbol mark is placed on cars 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10. Wheelchair marks on cars 5 and 9 are also represented by printing.
⑤ Equipped with a body tilting mechanism and a front coupling mechanism (H514-1).
⑥ Minimum curve radius: R370mm (When passing through small curves (R550/490 or less) on a double track, the vehicles on the rear tangent will come into contact with each other, so single-track operation is recommended).
⑦ The side destination display is a separate part with "Hayabusa 39 Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto" printed on it. Blank replacement parts and destination display stickers are included.
⑧ Equipped with a coreless motor power unit for stable running. Motor cars are designated for cars 3 and 7 (a total of 2 cars).
⑨ Headlights/taillights illuminate (white LEDs used). Car 10 (H514-1) has a light switch.
