In 2022, the Chūō Line introduced its first-ever Green Cars to the E233 Series fleet, offering enhanced comfort with upgraded
seating. Unlike traditional double-decker Green Cars, these new cars feature double sliding doors on both sides for faster
boarding—perfect for Tokyo’s high-traffic commuter lines. Train formations were extended from 10 to 12 cars with the
addition of the two Green Cars. These upgraded trains began entering regular service in October 2024, with full Green Car
service across the Chūō Line starting March 2025.

◆ Now available in N gauge, the updated 12-car E233 Chūō Line formation includes the newly added Green Cars.
A 2-car Green Car add-on set will also be released, allowing you to upgrade existing models. Combine it with popular sets like
10-1912 / 10-1913 E233-500 Chūō/Sōbu Local Line to recreate the most current scene from Tokyo’s busy urban network!
