Kato 10-1908 N Scale 227 Series 500 Urara 2-Car Set

●The 227 series 500 series began operation in July 2023 as a successor to the National Railway-type trains that had been active in the Okayama area until then. The exterior is based on the concept of "colors of abundance and tranquility," which means fertility and gentleness, and is an image that expresses the rich and mild climate and culture of Okayama and Bingo. The pink color that symbolizes the line, such as peaches in Okayama, roses in Fukuyama, and cherry blossoms in Onomichi, is used as the symbolic color. It is active in a wide range of areas, including not only the Sanyo Main Line (between Mihara and Himeji) but also the Seto Ohashi Line, Uno Minato Line, and Hakubi Line.

◆A new generation of commuter and suburban trains that are active in the Okayama area are now available in N gauge. By combining a 3-car set and a 2-car set, you can recreate a 7-car formation just like the actual train. You can enjoy it together with the 10-1808 115 series 300 series Chugoku region color 3-car set, 10-1451/10-1779 381 series "Yuttari Yakumo", and 10-1999/2000 273 series "Yakumo".

Main features

① L17 train (3-car set) and R12 train (2-car set) belonging to the Shimonoseki General Rolling Stock Works Okayama Electric Railway Branch and manufactured by Kawasaki Car Co., Ltd. are commercialized.

② The pink-based exterior and gradient stripe are beautifully reproduced.

③ The roof of the leading car without a signal flare is reproduced.

④ The lightning arrester is reproduced with a shape seen in recent years. Also, the electric compressor is reproduced with a different shape from the conventional 227 series.

⑤ The 3-car set is equipped with a platform status confirmation camera, while the 2-car set is not equipped with a platform status confirmation camera.

⑥ The fall prevention hood is reproduced with a separate part. Two types are available: one for the leading car that prioritizes appearance, and one for when coupled.

⑦By adopting a slotless motor, smoother and quieter running is achieved.

⑧The 3-car set has traction tires, and the 2-car set has no traction tires. The 2-car set has a demagnetizing plate installed.

⑨Head/tail lights are lit (with a switch to turn them off). The headlights are reproduced with white LEDs, and the fog lights are reproduced in orange.

⑩Both coupling parts use body-mounted close coupling (without hooks). Includes an electric coupler (2 stages) that can be attached to the coupler at the front of the leading car.

⑪Front destination display installed. Includes two types of printed replacements and a "plain" version.
