The Rhaetian Railway (RhB), which operates in the Graubünden region of Switzerland, is renowned for its scenic routes through the rich natural environment of the Alps. Forestry is also prominent along the railway's routes, and the transport of logs by train is a symbolic sight of this railway. The flatbed car "R-w" used for transportation is not only capable of carrying logs but can also transport containers and heavy machinery. It is common to see trains loaded with logs running on street tracks, as well as short trains with no cargo.
