Product Info
Renfe's 114 series high-speed trains are designed to provide AVANT services on high-speed and international tracks.
This series, consisting of 13 single-voltage 25 kV electric units and a standard width of 1,435 mm, reaches a maximum speed of 250 km/h. Each train is made up of four coaches standard class. They were built by Alsthom, based on the Italian ETR-600/610 model but without tilting; differences in measurements were included in all its dimensions, i.e. with different gauges and front end.
The initial order called for 30 trains to be built, which was eventually reduced to 13 trains built and currently in service.
Each train has 237 seats (236 + one for people with reduced mobility seat) in standard class, distributed in 4 coaches.
The first train was delivered in 2008, while the entire series entered commercial service in 2011.
The usual services of these trains are centred on the routes between Madrid - Valladolid and Barcelona Sants - Lérida Pirineos.
The 114 series trains that we reproduce with the references E10200 and E10201 are part of the new Hobby range with which we want to offer a model with a lower price without leaving aside its main operational and decorative details.
On the new 114 Hobby trains, the engine with its flywheel is located in one of the cab cars. Traction is provided to all the wheels of the driving car with two slip rings. The coupling between the cars is made by a current-carrying coupler that allows the power supply for the lights to be passed to the cab car. The red and white lights on each end car change according to the direction of travel.
The two intermediate coaches have a decorative pantograph.
The power car is equipped with NEM connector for digital decoder.
Analogue, digital and digital with sound versions will be available for the two versions of this high-speed train.
The livery of these trains has remained unchanged from the time they were put into service to the present day. Our reference E10200 reproduces one of the trains with its usual decoration.
The colours of each train reproduce exactly the tone used by RENFE on its trains and the pad printing reproduces all the inscriptions on each car.
The characteristic Spanish train fronts and cab have been reproduced according to the real model.
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of RENFE, the trains of the 114 series were labelled with large vinyls, referring to the celebration, which they carried during the year of the celebration. These large vinyls form the number 75 and are placed near the driver's cabs.
