Small but mighty! The automobile manufacturer Land Rover has been producing the vehicle of the same name since 1948, the original development of which (1947) initially benefited exclusively from civilian use in agriculture. The first three model series were simply designated Series I, II, and III. Only the fourth series (from 1983) was promoted under the name One Ten (110-inch wheelbase) and Ninety (90). Typical for Land Rover are the numbers in the model names; they indicate the wheelbases (90, 110, 130 inches) of the vehicles, although some deviations are made in favor of rounded numbers. The correct designation should actually be 93, as the wheelbase measures 93 inches (for the 130, for example, it is 127 inches). The small Defender retained the name "Ninety" until its name change in September 1990.

After the introduction of the "Discovery" series in 1990, differentiation became necessary, and the Land Rover models were given the name "Defender." Also new was that, for the first time in 35 years, the rigid axles were suspended on coil springs instead of leaf springs. The previously split windshield was replaced by a single, continuous windshield, and the fenders received plastic extensions. Originally developed for civilian use, the vehicle was frequently used on difficult expeditions thanks to its robustness, so it's no wonder that the Defender can still be found in many crisis areas today. This reliable vehicle has become indispensable for various aid organizations and the military. The robust Land Rover is particularly valued as an off-road vehicle in private areas.
The Busch model is the Defender 90 County Station Wagon (CSW), which from now on will be a small powerhouse tackling rough terrain in H0 model landscapes. Sharp contours and detailed features transform this rough, angular block into a true gem. The characteristic seating arrangement of the interior is also faithfully reproduced, as is the differently colored roof. The front view of the model is dominated by the large black radiator grille, which houses bright, transparent headlights with a clear glass look and delicate, transparent indicators. The chunky tires and model-specific rims perfect the striking appearance. With this model, the Busch off-road vehicle collection gains another highlight of off-road vehicles with cult status.
