Planting the Seed The story truly begins with A Li in the womb (this is not an exaggeration at all). A Li grew up as a child by the "railroad tracks." His life, studies, and leisure were all tied to the railway. The rhythmic clack-clack of train wheels hitting the rail joints, the warm exhaust of diesel engines, and the scent of creosote from the sleepers and ballast, mixed with the smell of engine oil, accompanied A Li through his childhood until the Beitou-Danshui line was dismantled. | |
Sprouting and Growing
A Li’s Yuanshan Station is a place where A Li and trains stand side by side. He hopes that everyone who shares his bond with trains can gather here, share their stories, and create their own unique railway worlds. |
